This just in: the Food Meander report

What do you call a combination of a good laugh with even better company over the best meal? The Food Meander, of course! The Melrose Arch Food Meander had copious quantities of all of the above and left long lasting memories.

On Tuesday, 11 July 2017, diehard foodies flocked together to explore the top Melrose Arch restaurants, one bite at a time. We kicked off by wetting our throats and whetting our appetites with welcome drinks at The Grillhouse, before traversing the cobbled sidewalks to Ghazal, Jamie’s Italian and Mezepoli for mouth-watering feasts of authentic Indian, Italian and Greek cuisine.

If the scrumptious menus and liquid refreshments didn’t leave you euphoric, our charismatic MC, Nomalanga Sithole, surely would’ve done the trick! Not only did she entertain the crowd with her perky quirks, but she also had a number of wonderful prizes up her sleeve for a few lucky wanderers. Some were luckier than others, but everyone went home winners with their jaw-dropping, jam-packed goodie bags in hand.

It was a privilege to experience the camaraderie that exists in passing plates and sharing anecdotes around a table – friends of food, we hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we loved hosting it!
