Deep-fried calamari

Deep-fried calamari

Ingredients

  • 100g cake flour
  • 100g cornflour
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 200g small calamari tubes
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges

Instructions

Combine the flour, cornflour, salt and pepper.

Dust the calamari tubes in the flour mixture and deep-fry in a pot of hot oil until golden and crisp, about 4 minutes.

Drain on a sheet of kitchen towel and serve warm with the lemon wedges.
