The Boschendal Wine Estate is one of the oldest in the history of South Africa, having been founded in 1685 it has a history of wine making that dates back nearly 330 years. Visit this picturesque historical estate this December and indulge in all the delicious activities they have on offer.

1. Le Pique Nique

Wish away your summer afternoons at the “Le Pique Nique” on the famous Pavillion lawns, where you will be completely surrounded by all the breath-taking beauty of the Franschhoek mountains. Settle at your own picnic table sit under the shady old oaks, or grab a picnic basket, a bottle of wine, and a picnic blanket and find a spot anywhere on the lawns.

2. Tastings and tours

Vineyard Tours:

Take a tour from vine to bottle with the extensive and insightful guided tour through the vineyards that you to the viewpoint at the highest point of the farm, which overlooks the remarkable vistas and the natural beauty of the franschhoek valley.

Cellar Tours:

Do a walk through their wineries and learn about the wines right from their source.
