Chocolate and ginger nut slices

Experiment with different biscuit bases and with white chocolate for variation.

Chocolate and ginger nut slices

Serves: 6
Cooking Time: 10 mins plus extra for setting

Ingredients

  • 200g ginger nut biscuits, finely crushed
  • 30ml walnuts, finely chopped
  • 80g butter, melted
  • 200g good-quality dark chocolate
  • 15ml butter
  • 80ml thick cream

Instructions

Line a 20cm x 20cm baking tin (bar pan) with silicone paper.

Put the biscuits and walnuts in a mixing bowl then stir in the butter. Press the biscuit mixture into the bottom of the pan.

Melt the chocolate, butter and cream and pour over the biscuit mixture. Refrigerate for about 1 hour.

Turn out onto a working surface and slice. Serve with fresh orange segments.
