Dark chocolate, pear and macadamia nut butter dessert

Serves: 4
Cooking Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • Chocolate topping
  • 120g dark chocolate
  • 115g crunchy muesli
  • Dessert

  • 5 pears, pips removed
  • 80ml orange juice
  • 240g macadamia nut butter
  • 20ml fresh cream
  • fresh mint, to garnish

Instructions

1

For the chocolate topping, gently heat the chocolate over a water bath, not allowing the water to touch the bottom of the bowl. Stir in the muesli, then pour the mixture onto a piece of baking paper. Allow to cool completely, then break into smaller chunks.

2

For the dessert, cut the pears into small blocks and let them soak in the orange juice, 10 minutes.

3

To assemble, use a slotted spoon to add some of the pears to the jar. Add a scoop or two of nut butter, then top with chocolate chunks. Add 5ml (1 tsp) cream to each jar and garnish with fresh mint.

Notes

Cook’s tip: For added crunch, you can also add roasted nuts like almonds or whole macadamias.
