Scottish oats with fresh cream and whisky recipe

If you aren’t already adding liquor to your breakfast, it’s time to start doing so. Scottish oats with fresh cream and whisky is a Walkersons favourite and brings some variation and decadence to conventional oats. It keeps you warm and energised all day long.

Scottish oats with fresh cream and whisky

Serves: 4
Cooking Time: 10

Ingredients

  • 100g oats
  • 5ml salt
  • 750ml boiling water
  • 120ml fresh cream
  • 60ml whisky
  • brown sugar, to taste

Instructions

Place the oats and salt in a pot. Add the boiling water and cook over high heat, stirring until it boils. Lower the heat and simmer for 3 minutes.

Pour into individual bowls. Top with the cream and whisky, and sprinkle with brown sugar.
